Decent hotel in 500-1000 range?

As they say, too much information is mother of all confusions!

With soooooo many websites and reviews dolling out information and details, here Im thoroughly confused which one to select!

Thankfully Im clear that my budget is anything less than 1000 per day. We will be staying for 3 nights in Manali.

What am I looking for?

1. Comfortable, clean and good linen, decent dinner/lunch, spick and span toilet.

2. Should be helpful in arranging trips to nearby places, like Rohtang Pass etc.

3. Proximity to Mall or the city
Read somewhere transport to-fro city is a killer, true?
If it isnt, then Im ready to stay away!

4. Would love if it had internet, but ok if it isnt. Planning to carry my lappy+internet usb thingie.

Any pointers would be lovely.

BTW we are planning to be there in September last week.

I just checked the reviews in this forum for Manalsu and they say to stay away from the Rs.600 rooms

Now im more confused! Pls help!!

If this forum asks you to stay away then maybe it makes sense to stay away. This is a reliable forum by any standards!
