Chandigarh to manali volvos

Hi, I'm planning to travel from Chandigarh to manali on 3rd Oct 2009.
But i find no volvos between these stations.
Can anybody help me on this?

Hi

I have the same problem I am looking for a volvo bus from chandgarh to manali between in the after noon at 1pm or so..

can any one help..

As of beg of Sep this year, there are no volvos between chd and manali. There are only 2 semi deluxe buses ( not very uncomfortable). They start at 6.30 pm/7 pm from manali to reach chandigarh at 5 am. Not sure when they start from chd - but I guess it is early in the morning.

if you could please suggest 4 sum travel agents in delhi or gurgaon for volvo booking from delhi to manali

Hi,

There used to be ample semi/deluxe (2X2 Non A.C) bus service between Chd-manali. I used to travel a lot to Kullu when my parents were there. That was around four years back. This bus service was private and starts from sector 22. Most of these buses starts after 8 PM and reached manali in early morning hours. Lots of people travel through these buses and they are not very uncomfortable.

I just travelled by HPTDC Delux 2X2 Non AC bus from Manali to Chandigarh. The roads are pathetic. Lot of road construction in progress on this route. It took us more than 14 hrs to reach chandigarh. ( The bus brakes failed in between - (2hrs halt)). I suggest take a private car .

thank you for your reply.. How will be the weather in October,, do one needs to carry heavy woollens

Not sure of october weather. but do carry light woolens bcoz in the evenings it gets colder. At Rohtang you require ear caps and heavy jackets. There are lot of shops that rent jackets and snow shoes at Rs 100 per person on the way to rohtang.
