Cab Booking from Simla to Manali

Hi,

I want to book a car for 4 days in 3rd week of August (Start at Simla & Send off at Manali on 4th day). Request you all to please adivce on below:

1. Any you aware of any well rated travel agents in Simla?
2. How much will be approx cost for Non AC car for 4 days hire?
3. HPTDC person told he can arrange at Rs 1750 for Indica. Is this good deal? Are they reliable?
4. What are all the costs that I need to clarify while booking car (per km, driver charges, empty return charges, permits, overnight charges.. what else?)?
5. Since we will have a car, we were thinking of doing a day journey on a scenic route from Simla to Manli which was recommended in one of the posts here - Simla to Manali via Narkanda, Ani, Jalori Pass and Aut taking abt 10 hrs. Please let me know if this is worth and if road conditions are good.
