Bangalore to Manali and return

Hi Guys,

I am working in Bangalore, and planning for anniversary trip in Manali from 25th Nov to 28th Nov 2008.
I am planning to fly to the nearest possible place to Manali and take a taxi from there to Manali.
Please let me know following info :-
1) Is it better to fly to Chandigarh or Amritsar or Leh and then take a taxi from there to Manali? - which of the options is better.
2) How will be the climate that time ? will it snow ?
3) What would be the duration of road travel for each of the above possibilities?
4) Will Rohtang pass be open?

Fly from B'lore to Delhi then from Delhi to Bhuntar which is 1hr or so from Manali, be aware that flights from/to Bhuntar are sometimes cancelled this time of year. Another option would be to fly to Gaggal nr Dharamsala,these flights also get cancelled due to fog.KK

Thanks for that info. I probably need little more help. I am unable to find flights to Dharamsala, Gaggal or Bhuntar. Is there any specific airlines I need to check with.

Check with airindia if they're running anything at all. Kingfisher used to be the other one
