Smile Back from Manali - Trip experience

Hi
We are back from a memorable trip to Manali ...it is a beautiful place with lot of apple trees, snow peaked mountains, beautiful river and great weather....

i have few suggestions if you are planning your trip to Manali...

1. Pls do not book the private volvos..instead go for Hpsrtc..private Volvos stop every now and then and make the journey too long...
2. Rohtang pass is just an amazing place to enjoy snow...but be prepared to face the worst roads on the way...the roads are full of stones and in some places wet and slippery too...it is advisable to take big cars so that the travel is not v hectic..
3. I did paragliding from a point above Gulaba peak which is truly amazing...the glide is for approx 20 min and costs around 1500 Rs....Do try that if you are an adventure freek...Gliding in Solang is comparitively for a less duration and cheaper too but this sport is deftly worth a try be it from Solang or Gulaba..
4. Club Mahindra snow peaks is a v beautiful resort with apple trees all around and great view of the snow peaked mountains...little expensive but worth the money....
5. The trip from Delhi to Manali takes around 15 hrs in Volvo..a little tedious trip if going with kids...so if you can afford pls take a cab(Innova is most preferred)
I would say this place is a must see place for every one who loves nature....Wish you a nice trip

Thanks Ranjarav for the update. Could you post pics, particularly the gliding ones? May be more detailed trip report.

Paragliding in Gulaba is very high and exiting too. I think it is about 2000 Meters from the landing point..not v sure abt the distance though...For me they arranged the gliding from our resort itself...The person's name was Vicky..if u want i can get his no for u..he charged 1500 Rs
