Accomm in Kasol & Old Manali

hey im heading to manali around the 3rd week of this month.we r there for just 3 nights. we're looking for a decent guest house with a good location/ view , in both old manali as well as kasol.

any suggestions, pls adv.

also, will it be snowing in any of these places?

I stayed at dragon guesthouse in Old manali. Nice place with nice views!

In old manali, there are lots of guest houses and hotels scattered everywhere.
Last time, I stayed at the Prince Guest House (near the more famous VEER guest house)...
Great peaceful place and friendly people for backpackers with a budget (Check out the review in hotel listings...!)...
BTW if u going with family members, then look for better accomodation... i guess there should be no problem...!

PS: Regarding Snow... I dont; know.... but I would be interested to know if it would be snowing when you're there.. Pls share info... hehehe :-)

Hi, I like to stay at the sunshine guesthouse in Manali it is very "olde worlde" & peaceful with beautiful gardens & orchards. In Kasol earlier this year i found a "secret place" with no fleas (which most places in Kasol have) it's called Bahadur family guesthouse it is in a wonderful quiet setting just outside Kasol towards Manikaran again set in orchards it's rs70 per night & the fresh home cooking is amazing VERRREEEEE SHANTI kk

This thread is a bit old psethi. Anyways, I was in kasol september 11 and checked out a few places. Best value for money is Alpine guest house. Rooms range from 400/- to 1000/-. Sandhya is luxurious (it looks like a misplaced business hotel) and was upwards of Rs 1500/-. Best is Himalayan resort, few kms before kasol. Negotiate hard and it can be around 3k odd (printed rate was 5K). Good luck!

Hi Shashank Bhai, my fave is Sunshine G/H verrrreeee Shanti gardens. It's always been a budget place,but i heard they had a refurb in one of the buildings which now has LCD T.V so i guess they will have wifi too.KK
