winter in kolkata
winter is gradually setting in and the air is dancing with joy at the prospects of the festivals that normally keep kolkattans engaged all through this wonderful season. the international film festival has started in nandan. this will probably be followed by the textiles fair and so on.
boi mela is another one of these that people look forward to. can anyone confirm the venue of the boi mela 2006?

Winter in Kokata is great specially if you leave shivering Delhi in late Dec & land there. Plesant weather, the natun gur(jaggery made from the juice tapped from Date palms), gurer sandesh(cottage cheese sweetmeats made with this jaggery), an afternoon ramble in the church & the lawns of Victoria Memorial, an evening out at Nandan.................. |

The official announcement for the venue of the Kolkata boi mela 2006 is pending till date. But Film Festival is the burning topic in Kolkata right now.

boi mela 2006
a recent news report indicated that the fair grounds will be in the same place this year also - thanks to the initiative taken by chief minister buddhadev bhattacharya.
