where is Anand nagar?
I was wondering where Anand nagar (city of joy) is exactly situated in calcutta. Is it correct that it is somewhere in Howrah? I noticed a big slum beside the railtrack when departing from Howrah railwaystation in direction Kharagpur.

Can try: http://www.mapmyindia.com search for:
Anandnagar, Kolkata (and do select the state) I am not sure how accurate this site is for Kolkata, though its pretty good for Delhi |

I have never heard of such a place in Kolkata.City of Joy is derived from the book written by Dominik Lapier. There may be a small place named Ananda nagar, but nothing famous.Slum you have seen at the time of leaving Howrah Station, probably called Pilkhana (stable for the elephants).
