Hello Lovely Kolkata People,
Your lovely city is my prefered metropolis in India.I lived in Dehli many years ago and i know Mumbai well but Kolkata is the jewel. That said i have a question..Where might i find the silver and gold market in Kolkata? I should like to purchase bracelets for my wife during our next visit later this year. Does anyone know the current price of silver,per gram?

The biggest market is Burrabujar -Sonapatti. But for design &quality, go to P.C.Chandra-Elgin rd.,Fort Knox,Syndicate jewellers or Tanisk showroom.
Price of silver is Rs.25/per gram.

P.C. Chandra is a good option. Other shops are T.C. Auddy on Bidhan Sarani near Vivekannda Road crossing and Anjali Jewellers near Gariahat - GolPark or at Sovabazar near to sovabazar Metro Station. Bowbazar is the place for the jewellers.

In most places you can get bracelets done as per your size and you can either choose a design from the ones displayed or they will show you their design portfolia and you can choose a design that you like.
