really want local people or Chinese aid!!

i'm bussy in applying for the tourist visa in Shanghai consulate.
but the flight time to kolkata is coming (22Jun 09)

the ticket,insurance i have paid already!!!!
..... and the consulate said i should provide the booking or a local friend's information fax .......i dont recognize local person there,so i just made one-day booking on the web and sent this booking to consulate ..but ...no answer !
maybe this invalid!i really want to go there and find cheap hotels....

how should i prove i can manage myselves and get the visa..only 5days left..........

why would you buy airline ticket before getting a visa? in some countries travel agent does not allow that.

cause in some other countries like india and china you need a ticket before you apply for a tourist visa.
Getting back to the topic, did you manage to bring yourself to kolkata?
