Shall I do Aquatica or the Marble Palace today?

Thanks, guys.
My notebook is growing!
This is the first time I'm going to India without the LP and I feel better prepared than ever.

Acuatica is a Water Park , Amusement Theme Park, And Marble Palace is an old Zamindar type of House which has a Museum too. The major portion of the house is still occupied by the owner and some portion is museum . The palace has a tiny zoo too. If you are interested in history , visit Marble Palace , if want to spent fun time go to acuatica. But I dont think acuatica will be enjoyable in winter. For summer it is an ideal place to spent the day.

Thank you Ann. And thanks to mods for making this thread sticky. If someone can accumulate related info / useful links I would request to post here.

Here is a link that provides Pin codes and area list:

Other information available in the site is also great.

What an informative resource - very impressive. Thx Somnath once again for your workmanship and good to see it was permanently bumped up as I would otherwise not discovered it. My only concern was whether or not the phone numbers were still current; with so many listed here it might be fairly time-consuming to update however.

Hello Everybody, what is the best and quickest way to collect the permit for Marble Palace? And do one need a permiit or ticket to go inside Tagor's residence?

Somnath,
Discovered this marvellous piece of information of yours just now. A fabulous effort, really.
You can think of adding a couple of new places to this list -
Central park, Saltlake (no idea whether it's worth mentioning)
Citizen's park (behind Victoria, near Rabindra Sadan)
Third Hooghly bridge near Bali Bridge
Minto Park/Shahid Bhagat Singh Udyan (beautified and maintained very well)
Princep ghat (don't know how safe it is at night)
Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission (particularly in the winter)
Nimpeeth Ramkrishna Mission
Kaikhali Ramkrishna Mission

Thumbs up Info

Hi friends,
Glad to know that you liked this info and thanks for your contribution . Mousourik, if you can collect related phone no and other details…. Please do not hesitate to post here – it would be a great help. BTW, Yashodhara, Rongon and me went to “Princep ghat” during last meetup – it was safe . No problem at all. It looks wonderful at night.
