Paragon Hotel, Kolkata - anyone stayed?

The guide book lists it as a good place to meet other travellers and I'm inspired to find clean, homely guest houses with relaxed, bright atmospheres. Particularly as I'm going to Kolkata during Durga Puja and it would be great fun to have a lively home base. However, I can't find any information on this place! Has anybody stayed here? Can anybody recommend a budget place that fits my description above?
Cheers!

Modern Lodge used to be a great place to stay; it's years since I've been there but always enjoyed it in the past.

I believe I tried to stay at Paragon last winter but they had no rooms available for me.

Just updating my own post for anybody who searches for the same question:

I am staying at the Paragon Hotel right now. Rs320 for a double room off the rooftop courtyard with a shower and western toilet, all quite clean. No screens on the windows but I'm using insect repellent and it's fine - get a nice breeze coming through. The courtyard is a pretty cool area, a bit dirty but plenty of places to sit and there is always a handful of people sitting around chatting. There are also dorms which I haven't checked out, and communal showers which look pretty clean. The location is quite good too, off Sudder St so it's quiet but still close to everything, including the internet cafe at Hotel Maria which is on the same lane, a few paces down the road. Would recommend this to people who want a relaxed atmosphere.
