Outdoor Store in Kolkata

Hello,

I'm planning a trip to Sagar Island for Ganga Sagar Mela. With Larica Hotel closed (any news??) and WBTourism not responding I plan to take a sleeping bag, but I do not want to carry a mat/pad through half of India: can I buy a cheap mat easily in Kolkata?
Anyone know a convenient store?

Hi Baba,

I don't know which area you will be staying , So
I presume Sudder street , try JK Sports (just near
the croosing of Park Street) or the Sport shop below
the YMCA Building at Lindsay Street Crossing ,
worse try at Big Bazar for Cheap Yoga Mat.

Cheers

You can buy outdoor equipments (both cheap and expensive) from UBAC. Their shop is near the Sealdah railway station. Phone No: 23512628. Better to ring up and first inquire the price.

Thanks, kausiks.
UBAC seems to be a big store where I would find anything outdoor.

Hi you can also try OutdoorTravelGear.com

However they dont have a store in Kolkata; but quechua sleeping bag is so small in size and light in weight. You can check on their website. they also do mail order.
