Are there hotels close to the BBG Bagh or Chowringhee area where non guest are allowed to go swimming? Is this possible in Kolkata and what would it cost?

In a lot of countries I often take a budget room and time allowing I go swimming in the afternoon (very nice especially in hot and busy cities). Just wandering if this is also possible in India.

Thanks answering in advance.

If you take a room (budget or otherwise) you would be a guest, no?

I don't think that hotels would permit non-guests for swimming, except when there is a long term membership of the hotel club. (often the gym and swimming pool is outsourced or monthly/ yearly membership given out.)

Try these:

I don't know where all those places are exactly, but they're in Kolkata.
