Hi Aravind....
Welcome to Kolkata. There are Paying Guest accomodations available in Kolkata and also in Salt Lake. Salt Lake is a bit little costly compared to other areas of KOlkata...first come and settle down ...then you can find out other low cost places. For language problem, English is understood well almost everywhere....if you know a little bit Hindi...will also be good.....afterwards, learn Bengali..ha ha

Aravind, you are not going to a far off country where you dont know what you would get - btw, if my geography is right, Bengalis are also rice eaters like tamilians.. So, there is nothing to worry. Otherwise, can't you live on roti and sabzi.. Think of people who go to Africa to work - imagine what they would get... |
