Kolkata Meet-up

I'm so excited, I can hardly wait!!!!

My husband and I will be arriving in Kolkata on 28th December and staying there until 5th January. Are there any IMers out there who might be in town then and are game for a meet-up?

Judi, what a news!!!!

Our CEO will be there in Kolkata during that time so it is 100% sure that I’ll be there in. So any Saturday / Sunday there WILL BE a meetup.

Attention Kolkata IMers, please don’t let others think that we all are just sleeping. Wait a minute, Natasha also told me that may be she is……… late December………

Now Somnath I had posted about eating in Kolkata yesterday. The infos may be a bit outdated. Would you please edit & correct these & it would be great for some visiting foodies if you could select some must not miss places from my list & give direction to reach which I couldnt since things might have changed.

Bhai Somnath,
It is impossible now to organise a trip because we are 3 working members & one second year student, if I am free rest are not & vice versa. I do feel "home sick" at times after staying away from Kolkata for more than 33 years now! If all goes well then may be in Feb.

Second day in Kolkata and I'm running out of vegi restaurants. Any advice on interesting restarants would be appreciated.

All the resturant have veg food. But it's very diffecult to find a Veg restaurant. You may find two or three veg restaurant. one is the basement of AC Market (Thetare Road). Haldiram( veg fast food) near Rabindra Sadan metro station or near airport. Another one in Beleghata near Alochya Cinema hall.( ground floor of Hotel Bengal INN).

"Gangaur" in Russel Street ( Near Park Street ) , "Gupta Brothers" in park street is Only Veg Rest. too.

How sad! Everyone's talking about me and i am not even visiting IM these days. Why is there sooo much work???
Somnath, bad ews is i won't be coming in for Dec. I had full plans to but i didn't get leave. Too much work and i have to take leave in Feb again, so...
the good news is, my cousin's getting married in Feb so i will be there in Cal in Feb 100%. Enjoy yourselves, though! i will miss this one too!
