Kolkata at New Year
Hey yo,
I'm currently in Bodhgaya but will be travelling to Kolkata for New Year. I've heard daunting things about this big, messy, old city, but I'm due to spend a month there so I'm all fired up. Does anyone have any general advice about places to eat/stay/go in Kolkata, and, more specifically, about New Year celebrations? Is it easy to get tickets to watch a cricket match at the Eden Gardens? Any help greatly appreciated, Byron

It'd be very interesting to see how Calcutta does their NYE celebrations. Oh well, I guess I got a year to think about it.
