I'm in! Just got to the city a few weeks ago and still want to do some exploring. I'm sure its safe wandering around with a dslr out, but it would be cool to go in a group.

I may be out of the city for a week at the end of March, and Sunday is probably the only day I could do it as I work Mon-Sat. I don't have a phone yet but I'll keep checking on here during the next few weeks.

Also, do you have any suggestions for where to find good camera shops? I upgraded from my 18-55 lens to a 18-135 before I left and need to find a 67mm filter, either UV or polarizer. I've also been having some issues with the AF on the camera body itself (I thought it was the lens but upon buying a new one it still happens), but undecided whether I want to get it repaired or just deal with it until I return home and can buy a new one.

Thanks!

Perfect time may be Saturday or Sunday

It will be my privilage to accommodate such

I am in it. However, I am out of station 19th - 26th Mar. Possible dates that work out for me are the following weekend or if I stretch myself a bit, 27th Mar. I am still in the learning phase, so would be willing to learn from the experts.
By the way, Canon has been organizing a month long session and exhibition on photography. It concludes next week with day long session with Pabuddha Dasgupta, Raghu Rai and Umesh Gogna. Entry by registration (paid). [www.camarena.in]

A wandered around for a few hours looking for that shop yesterday and no luck, although being sunday it probably would have been shut anyways. I'm still figuring out the city so I walked much too far past metro cinema before doubling back (still never found the cinema itself), but found a street with a bunch of close photography shops. Sunday is my only free day though so it makes it kind of tough.

@ Kaushik - Yeah ! I missed camarena , though I enrolled
then had to leave city for some urgent assignment. lets
see how the head rolls, noted your absent days.

@The suburbs - Sunday most of the shop is closed in that
area, you have to pinch some of the time out in weekdays.

@ Rohan - Thanks .

Cheers

Yes , definitely can do , but response was very lookwarm
last time , people talked about a lot in forum but practically
backs up when it comes to a face to face interaction.
which is platform for knowledge sharing.
