how do i get from howrah JN to dum dum airport?

i am travelling from MUmbai CST to howrah JN, once here (5: 25am) I have exactly 6 hours to get to dum dum airport (Calcutta domestic ???). is this possible and do i need to get onto the metro?

the journey from Howrah station to the airport will take around 1hr to 2 hrs(max) depending on the traffic.
you can take a prepaid taxi from the howrah station for the airport.
the domestic and the international aitport are in the same location.

Nayan is right, there is no other advisable option than a prepaid taxi.

Taxi is best choice as suggested above. At that time of the morning you should have a pretty clear run. The nearest metro is Chandni Chowk. the trains don't start running till 7.30 am. You would not be allowed to take backpacks on the train.
