|  Holi Hey everyone, I'm going to Kolkata in January, staying for a few months. Has anyone been to the Holi-festival there? I've heard that it's supposed to be great but is it safe for a solo woman to venture on the streets or will I get hassled? I would really appreciate if anyone could give me some advice on this, and any general information on Kolkata would also really help!  Thanks! |

| Hello I am from Kolkata( Calcutta). Holi Is little different here in Calcutta from The othre Part of India. May be some young people are like to through some colour to you but not badly hassled you. But My suggestion is that If some one like to enjoy Holi They must visist Santiniketan(Viswa Bharati University).It's 150 Km from Calcutta. Students are realy celebrete Holi(DOL) With Some culture progrmme. Surely No body create any Problem there. If Any body need any information may feel free to ask me. |
