I have heard that there is dim sum at Bow Bazaar, very early in he morning... but last time in Kolkata, I was not able to look for it. If you find this, please tell us about it!

Yes, you get Chinese breakfast at Bowbazar. But, you need to be there quite early in the morning. I think they wind up by 7AM

Hi mantru, depends on your interests really. But the India Museum (on the corner of Sudder Street) next to the Maidan is worth visiting. I really like the Jain temples, I'll find the address if you like, it is not really central. Take a tram and wander around the area of the university, looking at the bookshops. Walk through the flower market next to Howrah bridge early in the morning. Go to the south (by metro, really fast) and walk by the Rabindra Sarovar lake. Take a tram up to Tagore musuem/family house and wander around the area. It's a photographer's dream.

The Jain temples are situated at Badridas Temple Street, not far from Belgachia metro station.

The address of the Tagore museum (locally called Jorosanko) is 246D Rabindra Sarani.
