Question DSLR Camera at Grey Market, Kidderpore

Hiiiiiiii....I am Abhijit from Guwahati, Assam, very new to this site.
A computer Network Engineer but very much interested in still photography.
I want to enter the world of DSLR cameras but its very costly. Can nebody tell me dat are there brands like Nikon, Canon, Sony (With variety of options like different models, lenses etc) available in Kidderpore Grey Market?
If yes then whats the price range? What about the products quality?
Ne contacts or address?

I hope I get some good replies.

Thanks in advance

I do not think Kidderpore Fancy Market is the place to buy a camera. Unless you know any dealer there, you might land up with a defective equipment.
The place to buy a camera in grey market is Metro Gali beside the Metro cinema hall at Chowringhee. There are a number of shops there specializing in photographic equipments. Although they sell without papers, they are reliable. Hope this helps.

What brand are you planning to buy? Canon or Nikon? Nikon has many models: D40, D60, D70, D80, D90. Canon also has many models....
Each model comes at a different price. Add the price of the lens to it - what lens(lenses) you want depends on your preference. So it is difficult to answer your question.

One question, What camera do you currently use?

Hey Kausiks, I currently don't have any camera. I use others(Point & Shoot)
I want to go for Nikon D80 or D90. Along with that, I want good lenses for wildlife, portrait, macro and landscape photography. I am a newbie to the DSLR world but have some experience. Can you help me by giving some suggestins?

Thanks

god u need lenses from wide angle to telezoom.same as me .i will require a lot of money.

good landscape 17-55 m is usm 2.8 focal
general purpose 35 -128 mm is usm 3.5/5.6 f
telezoom 10 -400 is usm L
Normal EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Autofocus Lens

All are canon lens except the general purpose, normal lens all of them are costly.

I am getting a Nikon D200 for 45k (2nd hand, 8 months old) with 18-55mm lens from a fashion photographer. Should I buy it? Yeah I know that santos, but my budget for the lens is around 40-45k. So can anybody suggest me any good lens which can perform all the things? May be two lenses also like-
"Nikkor AF-S 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G VR Zoom "

or

"Nikkor AF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR DX Zoom "

And

"Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8D "

I need a good extra flash also.

God knows, I can get it or not!!!!

Hoping for the best

Your requirements are impressive. Even in the grey market it would cost you more than 1.25 lakhs for all that you need.

Okey...I will not mind to spend such a amount if I get the best one. Simply, I just want quality and features. Can you give me any contacts or address which is reliable?

Thanks
