Please check out Chhayapath. However, their courses are mostly held on weekday evenings near Desapriya Park.

PAD (photography association dumdum ) also offers courses under their director - Benu Sen

Thanks Kausik

Do you have any idea how are their standards of teaching ? Are they renowned in kolkata ? DO you have any experience with either of them.

rohan, yes, they are renowned in Kolkata, but I have not attended any of them. A couple of friends of mine has just started on the course by Chayapath. Too early to give a feedback though. I did a brief 1 month (5 weekend) course offered by Sibnath Basu, a renowned photographer. But I believe its too short.

i had a visit to NAP and Chhayapath last week. Regarding NAP they have started a course on Basic Photography from last Saturday. The duration is 6 months and course fee is 8500 rupees. Chhayapath conducts a course every year starting from January and for that form will be distributed from around last week of November. The course fee is 3000 rupees this time and they told me it may be incresed but that will be by around 500 rupees or so. PAD also conducts a course starting from January which is free of cost. But prior to that one have to pass an interview.

Thanks Biman

I have already contacted all the three institutes. But I want to know which is a better one in terms of practical training.

Any idea about it ?

Rohan

One feedback I have about both these courses - they cover a lot of theory which at times becomes very boring
