A jaywalkers guide to Calcutta

I,m planning a trip which will take in Kolkatta early 2013.

Heard about the above book / publication by someone called "DAS" and possibly published by Oxford but been totally unsucessful in trying to find a copy in the UK, both libraries and on Amazon.

Getting the impression it's only available in the Indian sub continent.If so suggestions where to buy a copy when i get there or is it "out of print"

Can anyone give me advice please?

The book is written by Soumitra Das. Most probably it is still available, price approx Rs 600/-.

It was published by Eminence Designs Pvt Limited in 2007 .

I can't remember where I bought my copy but I would suggest looking in Oxford Books on Park St for starters.

I bought a copy of "A Jaywalker's Guide to Calcutta" by Soumitra Das at the Oxford Bookshop on Park Street in 2009, for the price of 595 Rs.

It is a fascinating book, but the maps are very hard to follow. All kinks in the roads have been obliterated, leaving only fictitious simplified lines! But for the historical information and gossip, it is wonderful.

I've now found several websites selling it in india but regretably none deliver overseas even if you want to pay the shipping cahrges.
