| Sudipto, isn't your title misleading? Do you just want to go to the beach? Are you planning to visit some other place in Kerala.

| yep it was.. fixed now.. We r planning to go to Munnar for a cpl of days, spend a night on the boat and go to a beach and spend a couple of nights there.. thanks Mod Note: Thread title has been changed to read as 'Kerala'. Also, please do not use SMS language. It is not permitted. Please take the time to spell your words out fully in English. For example use 'are' instead of 'r' and 'couple' instead of cpl. Thanks. | |

| Cherai beach is another near Cochin. Marari is good but can be rough with a strong undertow. | |

| By the way, the beach doesn't have to be close to Kochi or Munnar. We can fly back from Trivandum as well. | |

| My favourite beach is Kannur, as it's off the normal route and has kms of completely deserted golden sand. But it's not going to be on your planned route, as it's North Kerala. However, saying that, when I was there again in November, we shared our homestay with a couple who had travelled all the way up there from Alleppey on the train and didn't regret it for an instance, once they were there. If you want to leave from Trivandrum, then consider Varkala, or Kovalam | |

| I'm in Kumily now. I'm going to go to Munar for 2 nights and then to Alleppey. I want to rent canoe and stay for few nights on beach near to Alleppey. Please let me know any recommended accommodations in Allepey Beach or Marari beach. Haw to get there? | |
