Question understanding the mythology

A few weeks ago I chanced upon a really good link to a site which explained a lot about Hindu Mythology and now I can't find it! Can anyone direct me to some good sites on history and such so that we can prepare for our trip with at least a little understanding? Thanks!

I found this web site and its newsletters very interesting. Mostly is about indian art and paintings but with lot of information on culture, history and mythology.

It's all Maya. There, now you know everything you need to know.

(Next question: who's Maya, and how can I get her telephone number?)

that's about where i'm at with it. it is almost relieving, since it removes the burden of having to know how it all fits together. it's a lot of work. I'm with Krishnamurti.
