Temperature Ooty&Periyar late september

Just wondering if in late september in Periyar and Ooty we will need warm clothes ?? How cold does it get ?? Would rather not take bulky clothing........

It is better to take light woolen or a standard jerkin/jacket. Also carry full sleeved tops so that it keeps you warm.

If you travel by bus/car...no problem.

But if you intend to travel by motorbikes and open top transport you may need some scarves.

Temp in ooty during September Max 24 centrigrade , min 12 centigrade.

Periyar must be much warmer than Ooty and you wont require wooled at all, but carry rain wear + umbrellas.

Bike boy is right. It will be nice, but take a good quality fleece jacket. That will be lightweight, and warm too.
