Suggested short itenerary/questions for Kerala/Goa
Hi,
I'm going to have a few days spare to myself between leaving Mumbai (20th November) and meeting friends in Cochin (25th November), from where I'll be touring inland Kerala and Tamil Nadu. My question is how best to spend the intervening days, and the practicalities of the transport involved. I've thought of two different itineraries, but would appreciate opinions or additional suggestions... Possibility 1. 20th Nov. Fly to Trivandrum. Taxi (?) to Varkala. 20/21st. Stay Varkala 22nd bus/train(?) to Kollam, stay overnight 23rd boat tour to Allepey (suggestions and durations please...) 24th or 25th train to Cochin. Possibility 2 20th Nov. Fly to Goa. 20th/21st Stay Panjim 22nd. Tour to Hampi. Stay overnight. 23rd/24th. Back to Goa. Two night stay (suggestions?) 25th. Train to Cochin (how easy is this? how far in advance can you book?) or Jet airways flight to Cochin via Bangalore. |

Goa to Cochin by train is about 12 hours..if you are cost concious you could try this or time conscious try flight
