Stay in Trivandrum

HI all,
I will visiting trivandrum from Aug 16th to Aug 18th with my family. Can anyone suggest me some good hotels or homestay near the Station suitable for family. We are a group of 18 people.

if you just walk across the central circle infront of the railway station side you have

highland would be my first choice , for stay

I did not get this. It seems their are two highland hotels, one is hotel highland and the other is hotel highland park.

both belong to the same group highland park have a higher tariff to my knowledge .they are just opp to each other

ponmudi hill station is a day visit option, you get buses from the bus stop infront of Hotel chaitram of KTDC ( 2 minute walk from your hotel to the main road)

Neyyar dam and lion safari park is another option

if you do not want to go that far , you can do the city sightseeing covering Sri padmanabha swami temple , napier museum and zoo complex , visit shangumugham beach in the evening

visit to Kovalam beach could be a half day activity . you get buses to Kovalam from East fort bus station . this is near Sri padmanabha swami temple .if you are thinking of taking public transport , start your day with sri padmanabha swami temple visit and get on to the bus from there to Kovalam
