Soliciting experiences on Ayurvedic teachings in Kerala

Have read all (or all that i could find) on peoples experience with ayurvedic courses in Kerala and elsewhere. Anyone have any new input on institutions that offer ayurvedic massage/body work? Am interested in long-term study, perhaps 3 months. And price is an issue, I am a teacher so I roll pretty cheaply. Fly into Bangalore (AAA HHHHH!!!!) in a few weeks
thanks in advance

there are two clinics in dharamsala (BhagsuNag); both looked pretty impressive to me. One is called Osha and the other is Siby's, which is apparently more traditional. I had ayurvedic massages at both schools/clinics, one from a foreign student and the other from a kerela therapist. I also spoke with a student and former patient of Siby's who raved about the place. I'll go back there for pancha karma when i am next in india.

Moothedan’s Ayurvedic Clinic in Kochi (about an hour from Kochi City) have a general practitioner who will look after aches and pains and give you the most amazing massages, and a specialist in headache, migraine and sinus problems.

MAC also deals with skin complaints and rejuvenation, dietary problems, and a whole range of other conditions, such as back pain.

It is a family-run concern with a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, run by Roshin Moothedan, his father, his wife and a small staff.

MAH performs all the traditional forms of Ayurvedic treatment including Sukachikilsa, Panchakarma, Rejuvination, and Rasayana treatments.

You can contact Roshin at kailash_spa@yahoo.co.in or telephone 0484-2492940, 0484-3947035, or on his mobile phone on 9447305893.

The clinic is a few minutes from the backwaters and a most beautiful beach on the Arabian Sea, and I am sure that Roshin would arrange transport for you and find accommodation to suit your budget, should you need it.

If you speak to Roshin, tell him Sajeev’s friend John sends his regards.

Have fun – I know you will!
