seeking comments on Kerala itinerary
Hi Folks:
My wife and I will be making our first trip to Kerala this january. Our plans are: fly in banglore-trivendrum, 2 nights Kovalum 1 night Allepey 1 night houseboat 2 nights thekkady 2 nightt munnar 1 night cochi fly out to goa... I welcome all suggestion, in particular am I spending too much time in the hill stations in doing 2 nights at each Munnar and thekkady? There is the travel time, so i only get really 1.5 day in each place, but I welcome any suggestions. Thanks. Gautam |

There is not much to see in Alleppey. The houseboat experience would be good enough. 2 nights in Thekkady is fine if you intend to have trekking. Otherwise, stay only 1 night in Thekkady,

I agree with Sanjai - reduce Alleppey to one night and maybe 2 nights in Kochi.

You could spend 3 nights at Munnar because there is a lot to see in that region which is better to spread over two whole days. And yes, if you are not particularly interested in trekking, just do the first morning boat ride at Periyar.

Adding another day for Kochi would be useful.

Hi,
Here are some suggestions, When travelling from thekkady to munnar, don't miss the ramakkalmedu mountain. It gives panoramic views of TamilNadu. Idukki has a lot of places to go (other than Thekkady and Munnar). Vagamon is a good place to go instead of Munnar. |
