Safe for the single lady?

Hi folks

I am currently in Madurai and heading to Kollam tonight. I want to take an overnight houseboat to Alleppey and I am sure it is ok but want to check if anyone has had any experience being a single traveller on an overnight cruise.

Thanks.

I can now answer my own question. I threw caution to the wind and have a perfectly wonderful experience. Can highly recommend to anyone travelling alone. Just make sure you trust the company you hire through.

Absolutely.

I can certainly understand how a single woman might feel vulnerable on a cruise with a male crew, and it would be very important to establish boundaries and not to mistakenly give any wrong impressions.

Glad you had a wonderful time on Kerala's beautiful backwaters
