Renting a bike in Cochin

Hi there,

I know the touristy beaches usually have bike rental places but what about Fort Kochin? I'd like to rent a bike a few days this weekend (July 28-31, 2006) and not a scooter as I don't think it'll make it up the mountain roads which is where I'd like to go.

Also, any information about how to get from airport to Fort Kochi, besides taxis and autos is appreciated.

Any information on bars in Cochin as well? I know it's dead for nightlife, I just mean for a drink or two after dinner.

Finally, any info on Elite Hotel?

In Fort Cochin you can contact Vasco Cafe or Vasco Tourist Information behind the Church as well as opposite to the Post Office. The hire bicycles as well as motor cycles also.

Around that area also you can see some card board signage showing the hiring of motorcyles.

Ask for a lift to Angamaly for Taxi drivers comin gto drop guests or some times that may be going to Fort Cochin or Ernakulam .From Angamaly you can take a bus or train, Few buses come to airport.

Hotel Elite is there . But legendary Kurup with the mustache is not there .
