I think they're a new airline. I'm fairly sure that they've only recently been launched.
They're probably worth a punt.

I've booked with them myself to go in February this year.. first time.. but I did some research and apparently they won the Skytrax award for Best Middle Eastern airline last year... I;ll let you know my opinion when I get back! They did however work out a lot cheaper than Gulf Air on the same route.

I've been seeing some amazingly cheap return flights from Qatar, London - Mumbai return including taxes for £325 (with availability)

I will probably be trying them soon.

I went to their London office in Conduit street (London W1) and asked about their fares.

The lowest they could quote me was £460, when I told them about the deals available on the net, they said that those are special fares quoted by travel agents and that they could not match them.....

The deals by travel agents are widely available and perfectly legit.

Qatar Airlines

I flew with Qatar Airlines to Cochin on 4th January. Pretty decent airline - newish planes, reasonable service, free alcohol, OK food (by airline standards). There's not much to do at Doha airport once you've looked around the Duty Free but I only had a 3 hour wait there & have less than 2 hours on my way home.

Cheers

they do fly out / in of trivandrum.. useful for me as i needed to book a London - Mumbai - Trivandrum - London flight.. This worked out about about £380 + tax via Trailfinders.. Gulf Air on the same route seemed to be about three times as much..

Apart from Emirates, which are now more expensive, all the other Middle East airlines are much the same.

We flew with Kuwait a few years and had no complaints, as with all of the other ME airlines. They got us and our luggage to Delhi, which was all we wanted from them.

The current lowest price I can find with traveljungle by Qatar is £393.26 inclusive return.

When are you planning on going?

Sorry, just reread your post! Things may have changed a lot by next Xmas!

There are going to be many more flights into India due to recent aviation agreements.
