Poovar Island is a great place, it's warm, cosy, relaxing and the sunset's are never to be forgot.
Everyone is friendly and you will feel at home straight away.
I will never forget how wonderful it felt sitting around the campfire on our first night, eating lovely food and staring out across the ocean, enjoying wonderful conversation and totally forgetting about London.
By the third night we realised that the campfire was to try to help us forget that the Island suffered from nightly power cuts (most times lasting all night).
The power cuts have a wonderful way of bringing you closer to your new surroundings and to nature itself, we sometimes forget that small, cute animals will not come anywhere near artificial light.
This was most obvious with the sea rats, during the day we never saw any, but at night there was hundreds of them, some of them were the size of dogs, but they were cute, it is a wonderful feeling to feed them right out of your hand.

Only joking, I've not been there, but this will get your post back to the top.
