dear friend
you can also take a bus down to kottayam(4 hrs) and then catch a train (4 hrs) to trivandrum which may be more conveniant, But the trains may be late or you you have to wait for the next train and from periyar you dont need to wait for direct Busess to trivandrum , you can come to kottayam and get a connection bus which may be faster . or you can use this rute also , periyar - kottayam- Allappuza_ then get a boat (back water )to kollam and then head to trivandrum bu bus (90 min ) please check the time schedules for this . there is enough trains to trivandrum if you start early morning from periyar then you can reach trivandrum in the late after noon |
