Parassinikkadavu Snake Park and Kannur

Hi all

Im new to the site and im heading to india for 4weeks in march. Ill be travelling from goa heading south to Kerala and was wondering if anyone has been to Parassinikkadavu Snake Park near Kannur? Its on the way and thought id stop for a day or two.

If so has anyone got any advice on getting to the park from kannur or any good (cheap-ish) hotels around kannur?

Get down at Kannur.Snake Park is like 1.2 Hr from Kannur bustation/Railway station.You got many buses that take the you directly to it.Also vist to local temple "Muthappan"..15 mintues further from park. is worth
Try visiting early morning to Temple and see the puja and other stuff Theyyam.. you can wind up at mid afteroon after visit to park.

Hi,

I did shared the info on tourism places of Kannur District over here [ Post No 5 & 6]. From my view, Parasinikadavu snake park is just ok kind of place. Nothing great !

Houseboats in Northern Kerala?

Hope this will give a feel of what you can expect in kannur / Mahe /Thalaserry of North kerala.
