Our Kerala Adventure

We have finally finished our travel journal. It really was the trip of a lifetime. From the serene Backwaters to the artistic beauty of Kathakali. From the colonial splendour of Fort Kochi to the pristine Thattekad Bird Sanctuary. From the majestic hills of Munnar to the arid terrain of Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary. And much, much more ...

We owe a lot to many of you here. Synonymous, Vandy, Rebecca, Pravman (and we are probably missing some folks out too!) This is a great forum indeed! Hope you enjoy our musings and we would love to hear your comments and critiques!

I only read some of it, but it's nice to read and I'll go back to read some more.

I was thinking that if your friends read the blog, they may be booking their tickets to India before they finish reading it, and they may be tempted to travel Sleeper Class, but as you will know, some people are right for Sleeper Class, and some just couldn't take it, so if any are interested, I done a long post about Sleeper Class that they may want to read first.

Sleeper Class details & photos.

Hi Steven - yes, we read your post on Sleeper Class before going and it gave us comfort that it would be ok. Everything else was booked up so it was either that or the bus.

There are so many people here who gave us invaluable tips!

Very well written Chitra, superb travelogue. I had read some of it earlier, and was looking forward to the rest of it. Makes me want to go back - today!!

I believe that yours is the best easily available information of Thattekad and Chinnar, for the non scientific visitor.
