The best option is a flight from Delhi to Bangalore in Kingfisher, Deccan or Spicejet.. the rates change in real time.. so take which ever is lower.. and then a Bus from either Majestic(govt bus) or Palayam(pvt buses) to anywhere in Kerala..
Look around and chose your own ground
For long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be...
Last ride : Bhutan, Arunachal, Sikkim.. (Where do I ride next?)

Do I need to reserve the train?? How can I do it without a credit card? (I like to make things as difficult as possible!)

Where can you book Bangalore to Kerala Train online
Please can you help, I can't find a website where I can book the above train online. I'm travelling to Kerala from Bangalore on 30th December with 2 teenage children & would like to book train now?
Any help greatly appreciated.

You can book the tickets at http://irctc.co.in.
Earlier you had to provide an Indian address for the booked tickets to be couriered to.Now its possible to select the 'e-ticket' option when finalizing your booking and get a printout of the ticket generated online and use that while boarding the train.
In case you find the website a bit confusing and not very intuitive, there are some excellent 'how-to's' on dealing with the common issues in the 'Planes,Trains and Automobiles' subsection of this forum.
