I received a quote from that very man yesterday as me and the wife are in Cochin in 4 weeks. the quote reads really well and the hotels he quotes also look ok and at 25000 for 6 nights/7days I was going to go with it, but now will take a good look about and will give major thought to booking homestays and a car
myself.
Bradwellboy,
Did you finally use InspireKerala/ Murugesan?
I am planning to rent the cabs from him.

Hi

No I did not use him in the end

I had a good look around and after some debate we used a lady in
Ernakalam who came highly recommended and did not dissapoint.

Have a look at www.cochinkerala.com

Mail fourens@eth.net

Her name is Jenny phone number 0484 2394989
or 0484 2436280

We went to her house Le Royale very impressive if a little out of town.

I have yet to hear a bad word said about her operation.

Good Luck and Enjoy

Hmm,
but I won't be covering Kochi this time :-( My itinerary is Madurai-Rameswaram-Kanyakumari-Trivandrum

Let me talk to Murugesan and get a good deal by saying that his repute is at stake. I think, that will not be bad for me. His initial quote (I only want the cab-service) is really attractive!

Thanks, by the way...

Hi I thoroughly endorse Vandy's reccommendation of Fourens travel. We used them last year and are using them again in January.
Jenny and her team are excellent. Sanjeev our driver was so attentive, on the way from Periyar to catch the train to Goa we passed a cattle market. As we were interested he stopped ad we looked around, he asked if we like beef and a discussion on our food likes followed. On arriving at Jenny's for an evening meal we discovered that our likes had been phoned in and they had obtained beef especially for us.

When our bag failed to arrive at the airport, ( Jetair sent it to Hyderabad, Jenny sorted it, even spent hours at the airport trying to sort it for us so that we had it prior to moving on. She wouldnt even take extra money for her time.

I am also trying to sort out my transportation in Kerala and Murugesan's email was detailed and very helpful (and his price was the most reasonable). I was tempted until I found this thread. I directed Murugesan to this thread. I have pasted his response to the bad reviews below, to be fair. I would hate for him to miss out due to a couple of bad incidents (assuming that it is only a handful and not the general standard!!):

"Dear Sir,

Thanx for the response.

Kindly note we are doing Monthly 40 to 50 individual package in which 3- cases went wrong in same aspect of the tour program.

In the below case, all our staffs were in a Travel Fair and that is why something went wrong. But since then we have take utmost care for all the customer

We assure you that there will not any such problem in your tour.

We guarantee good & quality service from our side"

I too think he will not take the risk of showing casual attitude to his next "guests". This morning I had a chat with him and he assured to make everything will be right.

I have decided to go ahead with him- obviously based on some +ve feedbacks in IM and his (very attractive) quote. Will keep you all posted after my trip.
