Munnar in June
Munnar in June
Hi,
I am planning to visit munnar in 3rd week if June [for 3 days]. I am from Tamilnadu. From my place munnar is around 280KM. Me and my friend are planning to go by bike.
We want to enjoy biking in rain
We have done several bike trips, including kodaikanal. So driving is not a problem.
Just want to know about the weather and road conditions. Will it rain heavily during June ? Any input on road conditions ? Will it be good ?
Also any info regarding road conditions from munnar-thekady is much appreciated.
Thanks and Regards,
Karthik.

Munnar in June is beautiful
Hi Karthik,
I went to Munnar and stayed there from 5th June to 8th June.Mansoon had already been started by the time I went there and It rained for almost all days during my stay.
Munnar is very beautiful when it rains but at the same time temperatures drop to a low point.Make sure to get a rain jacket with you. Roads are very narrow and it is very difficult to drive there for the first time even for an experienced driver. My cab driver said that roads would be damaged in rainy season which makes a journey dangerous.
There are lot of turnings on the roads and it would be very difficult to ride a bike there especially in this season.I would suggest you to get a cab there to roam.
Thekkady is a 3 hours drive from Munnar and you can came across with wild animals there. Its a beautiful experience.
Have a nice journey.
