Apart from going through the many related threads, a general outline would be as follows:
1 Day - early [to beat the queues] to Eravikulam park, followed by a trip to Top Station via Madupetty and Kundala lakes. 1 Day - to Marayoor and Chinnar sanctuary. This is the most scenic route in my opinion. Waterfalls - Athukad, Vallara etc - on the Cochin road - combine if coming from or going to Cochin. Optional: Kollukumalai high altitude tea estate - through rough and steep jeep ride - this is from Suryanelli, a bit beyond Chinnakanal. Combine en route to Thekkady if you are headed that way. As Santos advises, go through the threads, there is a lot of info out there! Try these sites for hotels in your budget range www.hotelsinmunnar.com www.hotelsmunnar.com www.hotelsinmunnar.in |

Munnar Inn is in the town centre. It is reasonably priced. I had a look around when I was there to check it out for future reference and the place was clean and tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. Might be a bit noisy until the town goes to sleep. Slightly more expensive is Isaacs Residency which overlooks the town - good view. I believe it has a website. Have stayed there and was very satisfied. The manager used to me a manager of the Ritz in London and is very helpful.

I too had a look at Munnar Inn and thought the rooms were quite good for the price.
The location is also good if you want to wander around town and try the various restaraunts. rgds vandy ![]() |

Looking for a 1 or 2 day stay in Tree house, please suggest.
What about B-Six Holiday Resort and Ayurcounty Resort? |
