mini-honeymoon trip to kerala

Hi,

My husband and I are planning to visit kerala (for the 1st time), for about 4 days, a mini-honeymoon of sorts..
don't really want to be stuck on a boat for all 4 days but dont want to be on our feet all the time either..

The only 2 things we definitely want to do -- a backwater boat trip and watch sunset in kanyakumari (well, technically in Tamilnadu but close enough to Trichi I'm told)

Any suggestions/recommendations on what else we could see/do?

Cochin, backwater trip from Alleppey to Kollam, Kanyakumari.

Kanyakumari is near to Thiruvanthapuram,around 87km distance.
Avoid MOONSOON TIME.

I would suggest a visit to Cochin / Backwaters/ Kanyakumari
Kanyakumari is closer to Trivandrum Capital of Kerala about 90 kms
Its best if you start your trip from Trivandrum , stay a night in Kanyakumari Head for the backwaters the next day for an over night cruise and then move on to Cochin for the rest of the day
Should be perfect given the duration Need more info drop a line
