Malayalam Lake Resort , Alappuzha

I am trying to find the phone number or the e-mail address for the Malayalam Lake Resort in Alappuzha - it got such nice reviews that I would love to stay there, but I want to book ahead since I will be arriving at a busy time.

Just spotted you post whilst browsing Kerala section.

If you get through on mobile number you will most probably speak to Jose, he is the Owners assistant and he speaks reasonable English.The owners are Thomas & Rose,they are all wonderfull.

their email before and could never get through,try it though.
Instead I just telephoned and got through without any problems.

Like Review says, basic but clean,no A/C but has ceiling fans.
Location is Fantastic & Rose is very good cook.

BTW, What time of year do you Intend visiting, I am hoping to be there in October.

Hey...I would repeat the same thing ..fiund good reviews and about to call them for my one night stay on 9th of Feb.

But would like to know the price you guys paid for room?
And will it be hot/humid in allepey in Feb? Will it be ok to stay there..

Vandy is right, it would be tough to send email so I would also suggest you should speak to him phone. I stayted there in October and Jose quoted me 800 Rs. per day but to my surprise when I asked for bill at the end of my stay of 2 days, he charged me only 600 rs. per day.

Weather would be fine in Feb, but be aware of the King Size Mosquitos.

As you had suggested, I tried my levels best to book through phone. But it seems that either he is not interested in travellers staying for one night Or has he lost his hospitality sense.
Called him like dozens of times; and he always promises to give me a cal back..But alas no response...
In short i am hugely disappointed; would never recommend malayalam lake resort to others...

The rates are outdated. It`s 1000 Rs off season and 1250 Rs in season(from june, I think). It`s a nice spot, no question about it. There is however one missing info for light sleepers.. there is noise from the houseboats which run in and out to and from Alleppey until noon or so..
