Live Music Kerala

Hello I'm off to Kerala this month, I would love to experience some authentic live music on my trip. Any ideas of where to find this?

The SOORYA FESTIVAL is now on in Trivandrum.
This week it's classical Indian dance (Bharatanatyam) with live music. And as from 11th there'll be concerts:
http://www.sooryaindia.com/filmfest20.html - Hindustani vocal, Carnatic vocal. Etc.

Most of the classical music in Kerala is temple based. I've never yet tried to attend any Kerala temple concerts, but admittance to temples is more strictly controlled there than in some other places. If you have a serious interest in S. Indian classical music, you could try asking your hotel staff (try to pick a Hindu) to help you out and guide you.
