Last week december- Trip to Kerala, need some advice...
Hi,
Was planning a last week December trip to Kerala with parents and spouse. Absolutely bad time, as everything has reached peak rates, but have no other option. Was planning to do Munnar, Kovalam (for beach) and Kumarakom (for backwaters). So far the plan was Arrive in Cochin: Move to Munnar for 2 nights Thereafter to Kumarakom (2nights) and then to Kovalam (2nights). Needed suggestions on acco. Need 2 rooms, and cant go beyond ~15K per night (i.e 7500 per night). Amenable to move to offbeat but comfortable stays (including boutique, homestays). Having tough time finding places in Kumarakom and Kovalam, within budget. Am also agreeable to do backwaters and beach in other places. Any suggestions please. Thanks in advance. |

7500 per night is a pretty high budget. Surely you can get some decent reservations through cleartrip and similar booking sites?

Hi & Welcome to IM
For Munnar, Try Tall Trees Resort, they do have a website, then There's Olive Brook and Shamrock,These are all out of town. Isaccs Residency, which is located right in Town is well within your Budget. For Kumarakom area, Have you tried Coconut Lagoon, or Even Taj Garden Retreat. There's quite a few in Kumarakom. For a Beachside Heritage Hotel in Allepey there's Raheem Residency its 30 meters to beach, also have their own website. Good luck vandy ![]() |
