Kerala usually gets rain in October, but it is not as much as in June/July, so I wouldn't worry. Generally there is a lot of rain in Kerala, that's why it is so green

Kerala is very rainy in October-the retreating monsoon which brings the rain to Chennai that Nick-H is looking forward to gives Kerala another soaking.
Thiruvananthapuram ,on average, has 281.7 mm of rain in October according to
INDIA METEOROLOGICAL DEPARTMENT

Kerala in October

Have been twice to Kerala in the month of October and

encountered not much rain really, rained continually for one
day only and that wasn't very heavy, couple of times rained
lightly in the evening.

then again weather in the tropics is unpredictable, except for
June,July & August.

Rgds & Happy Travelling

Sorry, I can't find the datas on the given link. From my experience I can say that the rain is not so heavy that you can't travel anymore...
