Kerala Tour Plan

hey Guys,
I am planning a family trip to Kerala in Mid August. I will reach on 13th night to Ernakulam or Trissur by train and will be leaving back on 18th morning.
Can you please suggest me which all places i can cover in this time and the sequence as well.
I am less interested in whole day in Alleppy backwaters as it is too costly, will prefer small tour in backwater like alleppy to kottayam.
Thanks in advance!!!

From Kochi the KDTC organizes several trips through the backwaters, see here.

We did the full day trip, in the morning a large boat and after lunch with small vessels. It includes some stops at the islands and was very nice.

For the first day i was thinking to get down @trissur and the cover
1. Vadakkunathan temple
2. Guruvyoor temple

Travel to athirapally:
enjoy the waterfalls.

Please tell me is it possible to visit these 3 places in one day?

after this next day i will go to alleppy.

Please let me know your opinions

Hi

It depends on when you start and the rush at Guruvayoor.

If you start early morning you can visit Vadakkumnathan Temple and Guruvayoor Temple and get to Athirapilly Falls just after Lunch or in the afternoon say 2.00pm. There is Vazhachal Falls too near Athirappilly, in a few kilometers distance. You can enjoy that too.

As per my friend, there may be some rush at Guruvayoor Temple..so you may have to plan a little more time over there.

Happy Journey!
