Kerala tour itinerary for 6 nights

Dear All,

We are visiting Kerala in first week of June for 6 nights / 7 days. We are two families and are from Delhi.

Our air tickets are booked for to and Fro Kochi. Earlier, we were not planning to visit South Kerala and planned to cover Kochi (1 night), Munnar (2 nights), thekkady (1 night) & Kumarakom (2 nights) and then back to Kochi

But now we are thinking of visiting Kovalam. Is it advisable to go to Kovalam during first week of June and cover Kanyakumari and trivandrun from there? or Varkala would be a better option?

Is it possible to add Kovalam to above itinerary by adjusting nights at above places? will be too tiresome due to long travelling by roads? or our original plan of going to Kochi-Munnar-thekkady-kumarakom is better?

What can be best itinerary to cover these places.

We are 4 adults and 4 kids (all below 12 years).

I should stick to your original plan, otherwise you will be long times on the road.
From Kochi we did the day trip with the KTDC, this a very good one.

After your reply I have made up my mind to go with our original itinerary.

About KTDC hotels, did u stay at Tea County munnar? were you satisfied with their services and quality of rooms? (any room tips)or you remember any other good property there? How about their property at Kumarakom?

As we are planning to stay at Kumarakom and not at Alleppey (we will make a trip from Kumarakom to alleppey)any advice on this?
