Yo,
can anyone give me some info on how bad the monsoons are in the south during august, september, and october....i'm tryin to figure out when to go. i live in korea and the monsoons here can be ridiculous...or should i wait until like january or february. i really don't have too many plans at this point. also. when are the biggest festivals, divali etc....and what is the festival called where everyone throws flour or paint or something all over each other, and where and when does that occur. peace, jairus |

Experienced one of those second-round monsoons in Kerala in late September - some days were fine but others were wild and stormy with lots of power cuts too. Woke up one morning with the floor under about an inch of water - had to move rooms because the ceiling was caving in. Enjoyed myself anyway. Tamil Nadu was dry though. Holi (the paint throwing fest) was last month. Dussehra is around October and Diwali is after that.
